Look Out for Diana.
Written by: Thomas Schmid

The ancient Greeks worshipped her as their Goddess Of The Hunt. Paul Anka swooned over her in the 1960s in one of his greatest hits. And now record company RS Promotion 1992 has included her in their stable of artists as well. We're talking about Diana. Admittedly not the former two incarnations but, in the case of RS Promotion, 16-year-old Diana Rand, who's already smiled at us occasionally from advertisements and is of mixed Thai-British heritage.

The successful model was recently discovered by RS Promotion talent scouts during yet another photo shoot for a commercial and has just released her self-titled debut album on the teenie label.

"It was pretty exciting when I was invited by RS Promotion for a test. I've always loved to sing since I was a kid, and even now thoroughly enjoy karaoke performances on a regular basis," Diana beamed.

Apart from a recent studio session to record her first album, the fresh young lass still undergoes rigorous dance training and singing lessons to further perfect herself in her new role as a pop star.

And her mum was apparently a driving force behind Diana's decision to sign a contract with the label, as she encouraged her to take up the unique opportunity and work hard on herself to fit in with the job's tough requirements.

"Although I practice hard, I think it will take me at least two years of experience before I can really call myself a professional. For now, I am just glad and happy that I can do what I like best, singing and dancing," Diana said.

Well, pop star laurels don't come cheap, eh?
