Tata's Weird Concert Title
By Thomas Schmid

Thailand -- Although Thailand's former heartthrob Tata Young released her self-titled and much-acclaimed comeback album quite some time ago, she has, so far, refrained from promoting the outing with concerts because she was busy acting in her first television drama.

But now the concert train seems to have started rolling, with a recent intimate "concert party" organized for winners of a competition hosted by radio station Modern Love FM 103.5 having marked the start.

However, the local public and media were somewhat consternated about the concert party's weird title Waan Jai Mai Mee Ngor Ngoo and wondered what this cryptic message actually meant.

Some thought it would translate as "Her Sweetheart Is Without His Snake," others said the correct meaning was "Sweetheart, I Don't Have Any Money," but both versions didn't make any sense at all.

Luckily, the radio station shone a little light on the matter in the aftermath of the heated debate.

"Actually, it was just a gimmick, a play on words from the titles of the two old Tata songs 'Waan Jai' and 'Ngor Ngoo' and wasn't supposed to mean anything. We simply merged these two song titles by using 'Mai Mee' ('doesn't have') between them," an executive at the station explained.

Are you folks still confused? So are we. But we haven't relinquished all hopes yet that the upcoming, fully fledged Tata concert in December will bear a somewhat easier-to-understand title.

The exact date of the gig is to be announced by Tata's record label, BEC Tero, so keep your eyes and ears open.
