GEORGE M. BURNETT

George Moorman Burnett, Sr., 70 of 1611 McKinny Avenue, Lynchburg, died Friday, July 19, 1985 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Eleanor Bullock Burnett. Born in Bedford County, a son of Vera Arthur Burnett and the late Ellis Moorman Burnett. He was a retired Postal Clerk, after 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by one son, George M. Burnett, Jr.; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Hill Burnett And Sarah Whitney Burnett; and three sisters, Mrs. H.E. (Grace) Minnick, Mrs. G.S. (Louise) Burton and Mrs. G.K. (Frances) Moses, all of Lynchburg.

Graveside funeral services were conducted Monday in Fort Hill Memorial Park by Reverand Donald Seely.
