His address was Route #1 (Old Graves Mill Road), Lynchburg, Virginia and she lived at 714, 8th Street in Lynchburg. His occupation was at Allen-Morrison Sign Company in Lynchburg. In the "Remarks" section it states that, "L.P. Barley swears that both parties are over twenty-one years of age.

In 1942 or 43 he went to work at the Mead Company Paper Mill in Lynchburg for thirty-four years and nine months until his retirment, excluding the time he was on the USS DeHaven DD-727 during World War II.
