Nancy's father, Williamson named her in his will; "To Nancy Allen, 1 negro woman named Milly which she has already received and has in her possession for some years". She probley received Milly as her wedding dower when she married Charles Allen. In 1820 they were living in Franklin County, Virginia with one son and two daughters.
