Chapter Six

Alyssa

Hannah left the next morning and Trinity and I started organizing our stuff for the University of Orlando. School was starting this week and we had to get focused on school instead of hanging out with the boys. Trinity and I had a pretty good week of classes. So far we were really enjoying the university. After about three thousand phone calls and two weeks of pleading we decided to go out with all the boys. We took a vote on who would pick what we would do for the evening and Chris go the most votes cause he’s crazy like that!

“Let’s go see a movie. We could go see ‘The Glass House.’” Chris suggested.

“Okay. That will give me a chance to actually spend time with my girlfriend.” Wade said.

“Shut up! I haven’t been as busy as you usually are choreographing every damn tour possible.” Trinity said.

“Guys, chill. What time does the movie start Chris?” JC asked.

“In about a half an hour.” Chris said.

We arrived at the theater and JC and Hannah went off to one area. Wade and Trinity went off to another area. I went to the middle of the theater and Lance sat on one side of me. Then Justin came and sat on the other side.

“What do you want?” I asked annoyed.

“I heard this is a scary movie.” Justin said.

“Very good Justin. And what color are the theater seats?” I asked sarcastically.

“I just meant that you might get scared and want me near to hold you.” Justin said about to put his arm around me.

“You know, you could hold this.” I said dumping my popcorn on him.

I left the theater and took a cab back to the house. Trinity came in after Wade dropped her off.

“Enjoy the movie?” Trinity asked bitterly.

"What’s your problem?” I asked not looking up from my homework.

“I can’t believe you would just leave the theater and not tell me. I mean yeah Justin is annoying and the popcorn tub made a grand hat, but you could have sat with me and Wade.” She said.

“I just wanted to get completely away from him. Besides I have a ton of stuff I have to do before the next art class.” I said.

“What’s the next art class?” she asked.

“I have a big project that we’re starting and it’s going to be in the show at school.” I said putting my stuff in my portfolio.

“Oh. What are you going to do for the show?” Trinity asked.

“I’m going to make some sort of photo collage thing.” I said.

“Sounds like fun.” She said.

“Yeah, I was going to just drive around for a whole day. Want to come?” I asked.

“Sure. We can go this weekend.” Trinity said.

“It’ll be fun. The two of us can raise some hell all over the city.” I said.

The rest of the week was crazy. I was working like mad to get all my school work done to make time for my art project. Saturday morning came and I went to wake Trinity up around eight. When I went in her room I found a note on her pillow. The note said something about Wade calling a meeting with the guys. I took a cab to the studio since Trinity had the car.

"What’s going on?” I whispered to Trinity as I walked into the studio.

“They’re talking about when the guys will have practice. Wade wants to cut a few days out.” She whispered back.

“Oh.” I said.

The meeting finished and Wade came over to Trinity.

“Ready to go?” Wade asked.

“Yes, let’s hit it.” Trinity said starting to walk off with Wade.

“Trinity!” I said grabbing her arm.

“What?” she asked.

“We were supposed to go around town today, remember?” I asked.

“Oh my gosh. I’m so sorry. I forgot all about it. I kinda made plans with Wade.” She replied.

“Trin! You promised.” I said.

“I’m sorry. Wade made some big sacrifices to take me out today. Can’t someone else go with you?” she asked.

“Fine. I’ll find someone else.” I told her.

“Are you sure?” she asked.

“Just go. I’ll think of something.” I said.

Trinity and Wade left and I was alone in the studio.

‘What am I going to do? She has the car. Who will I find to go with me?’ I thought.

I was about to leave when Justin walked into the room.

“Trinity said you needed to ask me something.” Justin said.

“No, but I’m going to kill her.” I said heading to the door.

“Too late.” He said stepping in my way.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“Everyone’s gone. She told me you had to ask me something as she was pulling away with Wade.” He replied.

“She is going to die! I can’t believe her!” I said getting frustrated when I realized what she was trying to pull.

“Hang on a minute. Why are you going to kill her?” he asked.

“She was supposed to take me around the city today, but Wade’s taking her out or something and she canceled on me.” I explained.

“So go around Orlando another day.” He suggested.

“I can’t. It’s for my art project that’s due in two weeks.” I said.

“I see why you’re angry now.” Justin said.

“Oh well. I’ll think of something. I might have enough money for a cab.” I said.

I started digging into my pockets to see how much money I had.

“I’m not busy today. I could take you.” Justin suggested.

“No, I don’t think so.” I said.

“I promise I won’t hit on you if that’s what you’re worried about. It’ll be like Chris or Lance were driving.” He said.

I was thinking about this, maybe it wasn’t a bad idea. I would get my stuff done and be on the right track time-wise.

“Okay, umm… I need to go and get my things first.” I said.

“No problem.” He replied.

Justin drove me back to the house and I grabbed my camera bag and some rolls of film. Then we drove around Orlando looking for ideas for my project.

“So what exactly is this project for?” he asked.

“My art class.” I replied.

“You’re taking an art class?” he asked.

“Yeah, why do you seem surprised?” I questioned.

“I just never thought you were into all that. Besides don’t you hate drawing?” Justin asked.

“Yes, which is why it’s not a drawing class. It’s a photography class. Hence the camera.” I said.

“So is this project worth a lot of points?” he asked.

“More than points are involved. If I do well, which I will, my project will go into the art show.” I said getting my bag from the floor of the car.

“That’s great. If you get into the show you’ll have to let me know. I’d love to see what the finished project will look like.” Justin said.

The rest of the day we drove and every now and then we’d stop and I’d take pictures. The whole time we were driving Justin didn’t throw one lame line at me. Later on in the evening I finished taking pictures. Justin dropped me off and I even hugged him for being so nice. As I was walking up to our house I was thinking that maybe Justin wasn’t as bad as I thought.
