Wade rolled over to face her. “You okay?”
Tawny rolled her eyes. “Tell me again why I married you.”
Wade hit Tawny’s arm. “Hey now.”
Tawny quickly jumped out of bed and headed to the bathroom.
Tawny didn’t answer.
A few minutes later Tawny emerged from the bathroom.
Tawny climbed back into bed. “You said not to throw up on you.”
A look of concern washed over Wade’s face. “Sweetie, what’s wrong?”
Tawny groaned. “I can’t move.”
Tawny rolled over. Being sick was no fun, especially when you have a very active four-year- old and a husband who had to work. Wade walked back into the room.
Wade nodded. “Are you okay?”
Tawny shook her head. “Can you stay home today?”
Wade sighed. “I would if I could.”
Tawny looked at the clock. “It’s 8:30.”
Wade shrugged. “The boy has to wake up sometime.”
Later that day….
Justin walked into Tawny’s room and collapsed on the bed next to her.
Justin nodded.
“Your daughter has way too much energy. She’d give Chris a run for his money.”
Tawny nodded. “Much.”
Tawny stared at him in disbelief. “No way.”
Tawny threw her arms around him. “Finally! Oh, this is so exciting.”
Tawny nodded. “Scout’s honor. What do you need me to do?”
