Justin sighed and sat down next to her. He handed her the bowl of popcorn he was carrying.
“Riight.”
Allison chose to ignore Justin and pressed play.
She scooted closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder.
The pair watched the movie silently and when Allison’s hand reached for some popcorn she felt something strange.
“Since when do they put prizes in microwavable popcorn?”
“I don’t know…it’s a mystery.” Justin said quoting Allison’s favorite line from ‘Shakespeare In Love.’
“I thought you hated this movie.” Allison said sarcastically.
“I do, but you’ve made me watch it so many freakin’ times.” Justin whined.
Allison rolled her eyes.
“So what’s the prize?!” Justin asked.
“Someone’s a tad overexcited.” Allison said. “It’s a box.”
“Open it!” Justin commanded.
“What the heezy J…OH MY GOD!!” Allison squealed.
Suddenly Justin was down on one knee in front of Allison.
“Allison will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?”
Tears began to fall down her face.
“Yes.” She said nodding her head.
Justin took Allison’s trembling hand and placed the ring on her finger.
Allison slid down onto the floor next to Justin and he pulled her toward him.
“Stop crying Allie. You’re supposed to be happy.”
“I am. Oh, we’ve got to call my parents, and your parents, and Granny, and the guys, and Nicki, and Krista…oh I guess if we call the guys we don’t have to call Nicki and Krista, oh…and…” Allison rambled.
“Whoa…slow down there. We’ve got all the time in the world.” Justin said.
