Chapter One
August 12, 2006
Justin yawned and rolled over. His arm reached out for Allison, but she wasn’t there. Slowly Justin opened his eyes. When his eyes adjusted to the light he found Allison sitting at the small desk in the corner of the bedroom. She was hunched over furiously scribbling something. Justin smiled to himself…Allison, the most beautiful woman in the world in his opinion, was going to be his wife in less than a month. He thought back to the first time he had met her. It was April of 2004 and he and the guys were celebrating the final date of their tour at a club in New York. Allison was sitting at a table not far from his. For once in his life Justin was speechless…he wanted to talk to her but had no idea what to say to. Eventually he got over his fear and walked over to her. It was love at first sight…for the both of them. They started a long distance relationship and just last year she had found a job in Orlando and moved in with Justin. Allison was a dancer trained in ballet, tap, hip-hop, modern, jazz, and anything else you could possibly imagine. She taught classes at Orlando’s Dance Conservatory.
*NSYNC was taking a temporary hiatus while the guys pursued different areas of interest. Justin was using the time to work on his music as well as write and produce for other artists.
“Allie. It’s…” Justin glanced at the clock. “8:30 on a Saturday morning. Why are you awake?”
“I can’t believe I thought I could plan this wedding in six months. What was I thinking?” she asked.
“Sweetie, everything has been taken care of….what could you possibly have left to do?” he asked.
She turned around in the chair, her ponytail whipping across her face.
“Are you insane? There’s only about a million things left to do!” she told him.
“Like what?” he challenged.
“Like…like…stuff.” Allison said.
“Good answer.” Justin said sarcastically.
“Hush up. I was going to sleep in today, but I forgot we’re going to Josh and Nicki’s house for Josh’s birthday party so I’ve got to get this done now.” She explained.
Justin learned it was easier just to go along with what Allison said rather than argue.
“Whatever you want Allie.”
Later that day…
“Bryan! Quit pulling your sister’s hair!” Nicolette (Nicki) Chasez, JC’s wife, shouted chasing after her three-year-old son.
“Let the madness begin.” Justin whispered to Allison as they walked towards the backyard.
“Indeed.” Allison whispered back.
Eighteen-month-old Anna ran past the pair with Bryan not far behind.
“I give up.” Nicki said picking up Anna. “Hey guys.”
“Hi Nicki…rough day?” Allison asked.
“Just the joys of motherhood.” She replied. “Hey Timby.”
“Hey Nicki.” Justin said. “Where is everyone?”
“Out on the deck.” She said.
Joey, Lance, JC, Chris, and Krista, Lance’s girlfriend, were all sitting on the deck and chatting away.
“Hello kids. Happy birthday Sloshie.” Allison said walking up the steps.
“Jeehz, you see me drunk once and you don’t forget.” Josh said giving Allison a hug.
“You know me.” She said.
“Happy birthday man.” Justin said.
Everyone exchanged hellos and Justin and Allison sat down.
“Allison, I was looking through this bridal magazine the other day…” Nicki started.
“No!” Justin exclaimed. “There is going to be no wedding talk at this party. That’s all we ever talk about.”
“Think again Timby.” Nicki said. “We girls need to have some wedding girl talk and you’re not going to stop us.”
“Believe me, you know you don’t want to cross us.” Krista added.
Justin thought back to all the ‘trouble’ the girls had caused him over the past year.
“True, but I’m sure the guys are sick of hearing about it right?” Justin asked.
“Actually…” Joey started.
“Hey! Whose side are you on?” Justin asked.
Everyone laughed.
“Is it time for Daddy’s cake yet?” Bryan asked running up to the table.
“Don’t you want some dinner first?” Nicki asked him.
Bryan shook his head vigorously.
“Just like his uncle…obsessed with cake.” Krista commented.
“That was dang funny.” Allison said slapping Krista’s hand.
“Har, har. And I always thought you’d fall for an innocent one.” Justin said to Lance.
Before Lance could defend himself Krista spoke.
“That’s it Justin…you can’t come to my fish fry next week.” Krista said.
Nicki and Allison began to laugh hysterically at the inside joke.
“What?” Justin asked.
