Chapter Seven- More Than A Feeling

Monday morning…

“Delivery for Felicity Patterson.” A delivery man said walking into the building.

Felicity looked up, surprised there was a package for her.

“I’m Felicity Patterson.” She replied.

“Sign here please.” The man said handing her his clipboard.

Felicity signed the paper and the man handed her the package.

“Have a nice day.” He said walking away.

“You too.” Felicity said sitting down. “I wonder what it is.”

She unwrapped the package and inside was a beautiful bouquet of flowers in a vase.

“Wow.” She muttered. “I wonder if there’s a card.” Felicity looked in-between the flowers and found a small white card.

“Looking forward to Friday. Lance.” Felicity read. “How sweet.”

“Uh-hum.” Gwyneth said clearing her throat.

“Oh, hi Ms. Porter.” Felicity said moving the flowers aside.

“From Lance I presume?” she asked.

Felicity nodded and smiled. “Yeah.”

“Typical of him. All romantic at first and then bam drops you like a bad habit.” Gwyneth said.

Felicity snapped back to reality. “Oh, really?”

“Yeah. Anyway how’d it go on Saturday?” Gwyneth asked.

“Very well.” Felicity said. “We have a date on Friday.”

Gwyneth clapped her hands together. “Excellent. He should be under your spell in no time. Oh, here you go.”

Gwyneth handed Felicity her first check.

“Good job. I’ll talk to you later.” Gwyneth said.

“Right, thanks.” Felicity said putting the check in her purse.

“Whoa, someone’s popular.” Lance said as he walked up to Felicity’s desk.

Felicity smiled. “Yes, I have many admirers.”

Lance laughed. “Do you like them?”

“They’re beautiful. Thank you.” She said.

“Was that Gwyneth you were talking to?” he asked.

“Ummm, yeah.” Felicity replied.

“I didn’t know she was recording anything here.” Lance said.

Felicity shrugged. “I’m not really sure.”

Lance shook his head. “Anyway, we’re still on for Friday right?”

“Yes. 7:00?” Felicity responded.

“Right. Well, I’ve got to get up to the studio.” Lance said.

“Okay, bye.” Felicity replied.

Lance flashed her a smile and walked away.
