Chapter Six “All for Love”

One week later…

“Where are you taking me?” I asked behind my blindfold. “I can’t see anything.”

“It’s a surprise.” Trevor told me.

“Come on Trev. Tell me! I’ll be your best friend.” I pleaded.

“My lips are sealed.” He said giving my hand to someone else.

“Now who?” I asked.

“Your favorite boy.” He said.

“Ewww!! Jacob!” I said pretending to be grossed out. “Now I have cooties.”

“Oh be quiet.” He said leading me around a corner.

“Will you tell me where I’m going?” I asked hopefully.

“Not a chance.” He said handing me over to someone else.

“It’s Erik.” He said.

“What up bro?” I asked sarcastically.

“Be quiet little girl. And no I’m not telling you where you’re going.” He replied.

“Damn you all.” I muttered.

“Ohh!! Jordyn swore!” Ashley said.

“Please Ash, tell me where I’m going.” I begged.

“Okay, I will.” He said.

“Really?” I asked excitedly.

“Yes, here you are.” He said giving me over to someone else.

“I can’t take it anymore.” I said.

The blindfold was removed from my eyes and Dan stood in front of me.

‘Oh, this is not good.’ I thought. ‘Why is he making it so hard for me to hate him.’

“You look beautiful.” He said.

I smoothed my new pink and purple summer dress. “Thanks.” I said shyly.

“Have a seat.” He said pulling out a chair for me.

I sat down and looked around. The entire backyard was decorated with little twinkling lights and fresh flowers.

“All for me?” I asked.

“All for you.” He replied.

“Why?” I asked.

He laughed. “That was not exactly the response I was hoping for.”

“Oh, sorry. I mean, it’s beautiful, thank you.” I said.

Trevor entered the backyard dressed in a tuxedo and brought out the beginning of our meal. The whole evening was unbelievable. Each guy brought out a different course, each dressed in a tuxedo. (Except Jacob who said that a tuxedo didn’t go with his rebel style.) The whole evening was like a fairy tale.

After the meal the guys cleared the table and chairs and placed a stereo outside and quickly made an exit.

“Want to dance?” he asked me.

I nodded and he led me to the middle of the yard and held me close. It was like we were made for each other. I fit perfectly into his arms. We danced for awhile and just when I thought the night couldn’t get any better he kissed me. This wasn’t like the last kiss. This kiss was earth-moving, mind shattering. His hand trailed along the side of my face and neck and my arms wrapped around his neck pulling him closer to me. He broke away and smiled at me.

‘This is not good.’ I thought.
