A week later…
Someone actually ordered some candle sets and wanted them delivered.
Makayla walked up the drive until she reached a large iron gate. She noticed a call box.
Suddenly the gates swung open and Makayla headed to the front door. She raised her hand to knock, but the door opened.
Ashley nodded. “Home sweet home.”
Makayla laughed. “I’ve been telling myself that for years.”
Makayla shook her head. “Can’t say I have.”
Ashley shrugged. “No big deal.”
Makayla looked at him warily. “Yeah.”
Ashley nodded. “Actually, I kind of requested you.”
Makayla blushed. “I don’t know if I should be flattered or scared.”
Now it was Ashley’s turn to blush. “Well, yeah.”
Two boys walked into the hall from the living room.
The boys nodded.
Makayla turned around and saw two more boys.
The four boys left the room.
Makayla laughed. “So, see you around, I guess.”
Ashley nodded. “Sure.”
Makayla waited a moment. “Well, bye.” She said and began to walk out the door.
Makayla walked outside and to her car.
Ashley shut the door. “That went well.” He mumbled to himself.
He looked down and noticed a notebook on the floor. Ashley picked it up and looked inside.
