“Ready kids? I’m getting hungry.” Justin said.
The group nodded in agreement and the hostess led the group to their table.
Everyone ordered their meal and settled in.
“So Mia, how’s school going?” JC asked.
“Pretty well.” Mia said taking a sip of her water. “The kids are really sweet.”
“How about the reading club?” Emilie asked.
“The girls are working on Little Woman and the boys are reading Tom Sawyer. Then afterwards they’ll switch.” Mia said.
“You’re going to make the boys read Little Woman?” Joey asked.
“It’s a classic.” Justin commented. “Not that I’ve read it or anything.”
“Hmmm…what exactly have you been doing during this hiatus?” Lance asked.
Everyone laughed while Justin blushed.
“So what’s new in the world of public relations Em?” Mia asked.
“Nothing since these guys decided to take a break. Actually without them around my job is a lot less stressful.” She replied.
Emilie worked in the public relations department at Jive Records.
“Timby maybe you should go back to Brit and start a scandal. Then Em will have something to do.” Kara suggested.
“What is this…pick on Justin day?” he asked.
“That’s everyday.” Chris said.
“Indeed.” Kara replied.
“We have to keep those two separated.” Justin said indicating Kara and Chris. “They’re vicious when you put them together.”

Later that night…
Mia yawned and rested her head against Lance’s shoulder.
“Tired?” he asked.
“A little bit.” She replied.
Lance clicked off the television.
“Do you want me to take you home?”
“In a minute.” She said lifting her head up to give him a kiss.
“What are you doing tomorrow?” he asked.
Mia shrugged.
“Probably not too much. What’s up?”
“I’ve got some new demo tapes and I need a second opinion.”
“So why are you asking me? What do I know about music? Ask Justin.”
“You’re more fun to hang out with than Justin.” He said kissing her cheek.
“Aww…you flatter me. Sure, I’ll come over.”
“Excellent.” He said standing up and reaching for her hands to pull her up. “You look beat, let’s get you home.”
Mia nodded in agreement and as soon as she got to her feet she felt extremely light-headed. She immediately held on to Lance.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“I’m a little dizzy. I think I got up too fast.”
“Mia are you still having those headaches?”
She looked down at her feet.
“Once in awhile.”
“Mia will you please just go to the doctor.”
“I don’t need to.”
“It would make me feel better. Kara is worried too.”
“Fine, I’ll make an appointment on Monday.”
“Thank you.”
