Chapter One

“What’s in this bag? A dead body?” Dan Miller asked.

Johanna Andrews hit him over the head with a pillow. “Yeah, Dan it’s a dead body. This whole time I’ve been holding out on y’all. I’m really a serial killer.”

“I knew it! That’s why you’re so disagreeable in the morning. Those killings keep you up late at night.” He replied.

“Just put the box in the guest room.” She said.

Dan gave her a fake salute. “Yes captain.” He said walking into the house.

Johanna sighed. Living with O-Town for the next few weeks was going to be something else. She had been working as the public relations coordinator for O-Town for the past year. Her job entitled scheduling promotions and concerts as well as clearing up any misunderstanding with the media. (Such as Trevor being secretly married to Britney Spears.) She recently received a raise and was moving into a brand new condo.

Unfortunately it wouldn’t be ready for a few weeks and she had to be out of her apartment before that. The guys suggested she move into their spare room in the meantime. Johanna agreed, considering she practically lived there anyway.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of her cell.

“Hello?” she asked.

“Hey girl.” Grace Matthews, Johanna’s best friend, said. “What’s going on?”

“Just moving my stuff into the house.” She told her. “How about you?”

“Packing up the rest of my stuff. I can’t believe I’m moving to Orlando.” Grace said.

“You’re what?” Johanna asked confused.

“I said I’m…moving…to….Orlando.” Grace said slowly.

“No way!! That’s so great.” Johanna said happily.

“Aren’t you going to ask why?” Grace asked.

In all of the excitement Johanna hadn’t thought of that.

“Umm…to be closer to Jacob?” she guessed.

“Eww…hellz no.” she said.

(Grace and Jacob didn’t exactly get along.)

“Seriously now.” Johanna said.

“National Geographic wants me to do a spread on the marine life in Florida.” Grace said.

“Like pictures of dolphins and stuff?” Johanna asked. (Grace is a well-known photographer.)

“Among other things.” Grace replied.

“So when are you coming down?” Johanna asked.

“Not until the end of the month.” Grace said.

“Where are you going to live?” Johanna asked.

“That’s kinda the reason I called. Think I could crash with you until I find a place?” she asked.

“Of course.” She said. “But I’ll be living here for awhile.”

“Do you think the guys would care?” Grace questioned.

“Doubtful. I don’t think another girl in the house will be a problem for them. But I’ll ask anyway.” Johanna said laughing.

“Cool. I’ll call you when I know more.” Grace said.

“Okay. Bye.” Johanna said turning off her phone.

“What was that all about?” Dan asked.

Johanna jumped about fifty feet. “Jeehz Dan! Trying to give me a heart attack?”

“Ah! My plan has been foiled.” Dan said.

Johanna laughed. “Sorry.”

“Really, what’s going on?” Dan asked.

“That was Grace. She has an assignment in Orlando and she’ll be staying here for a little while.”

“Were you going to consult us?” Dan asked.

“No.” Johanna said picking up some more boxes.

“But it’s our house.” He said.

“I know.” Johanna said nonchalantly. “Can you hand me that bag?”

Dan shook his head. “Are you serious? You weren’t going to ask us.”

“Yes, Dan. Do you need me to spell it out for you?” Johanna said knowing she was annoying Dan.

“So you’re saying that if I wanted to crash at your new place for a week and bring a friend from back home you wouldn’t care.” He said.

“Well, that depends.” She told him.

“On what?” he asked.

“Is the friend hot?” Johanna asked.

“You are something else.” Dan said walking towards her.

“Are you going to hurt me?” she asked.

“Why?” he asked.

“You’re walking awfully close towards me.” She said.

Suddenly she found herself face to face with Dan.

“Ohhh!!! Dan’s gonna kiss Johanna!!” Trevor exclaimed walking outside.

“Ewww…Trevor! That’d be like kissing my brother.” Johanna said as Dan backed away.

Johanna and Dan were best friends. Even though everyone thought there was something else going on.

“Jeehz. You don’t have to sound so disgusted.” Dan said.

Johanna rolled her eyes. “So is it okay if Grace stays here?”

“Hmm…I don’t care but you’ll have to ask the others.” He said.

“T-Rev! Can Grace stay here until my place is ready?” Johanna called.

“Surely you jest. Like I’d object to a fine lady staying in the house.” Trevor said.

“Cool. I doubt Erik and Ash will care. Jacob might be a problem.” Johanna said to Dan.

Dan shrugged. “It’ll be five against one. He’ll have to cave.”

“True.” Johanna said.

“Hey. Did you warn her about Trev’s walking around naked fetish?” He asked.

“No. I had to find out the hard way so she’ll have to as well.” Johanna said.

“You are pure evil.” Dan replied.
