RSCN is working with Aqaba special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) to develop some regulations for the site, but untill now they are not in the final format. The reaseon for the ruomurs that we tried to be participatory in developing these regulations so local peole represntative were consulted about these regulations. The regualtions are mainly concentrating on organising activities within the protected area not prohibiting that in a way mainatains the statusqua, So access to the protected area will be only allowed from the offical access point through Rum village and in the future for throgh the new visitor centre. It will be allowed to camp and climb in the protected area only in desginated places which they are currently used. Visitors will be allowed to drive their cars in the protected area, but we are going to grade tracks for the cars so they can enjoy the site without damagaing the landscape and vegetataion. RSCN is working now on developing a comprehensive managment plan for the site, we expecte that it will be fnished by the end of the year. This plan will conatins all the aspect of the protected area managment and future plans. I want to assure you that there will be no major changes in managment of the site as i mentioned previosly it is only a mater of organisaing activities.
