     Figure 1 depicts the About Tabbed Pane. It provides information about the people involved in this final year project as well as the development tools used.

Figure 2 Search Database Tabbed Pane

     Figure 2 depicts the Search Database Tabbed Pane. It consists of the following fields:

• Search records containing keyword [Any Desired Keyword]
• Search By [Display All Records | Title | Author | Format | Caption]
• Search which database(s) [Access | Informix | Both]
• Maximum number of record(s) to return [First 10 | First 30 | First 50]
• Submit [Submit query to database(s)]
• Reset [Reset to default values]

Figure 3 Status Tabbed Pane

     Figure 3 depicts the Status Tabbed Pane. It is divided into 2 partitions:

• Current Search Progress showing 2 progress bars to indicate the current progress of retrieving record(s) from the selected database(s) matching the entered keyword.
• Multimedia Byte Stream Information showing title, length of byte stream [bytes], time taken to retrieve byte stream and search database [msec] for the currently selected row of the Results Table. In addition, the data transmission rate [bits/sec] is also computed.

     Figure 4 depicts the Help Tabbed Pane. It is divided into 2 partitions:

• Applet Information showing credits / copyright information.
• Help Topics. The help files you are viewing now.
