Digimon
Digimon is an anime show currently in its fourth season. It was a highly popular series that contarasted heavily with Pokemon and yet many preffered it. The first two seasons of Digimon followed consistnelty with each other, and then along came Digimon Tamers, a season that saw the original two casts of Digimon shunted aside to make way for characters who had grown up watching Tai, Matt, Sora and the others on television. (sound familiar?) The fourth season differed yet again, with the human Digidestined able to change inot digimon themselves. with each new season came a new storyline, but all of them featured the Digimon, creatures able to grow and develop, along with powers each one possesed.

Yagami Taichi
Yagami Taichi is hte leader of the digidestiend from the first series. Though, he shows up in the second season, Taichi's starring season is the first. Though Taichi may seem headstrong, impetuous and downright stupid at times, he is constantly focused on his failures. More aware of his failings than his acheivments, Taichi allows his fear fo failure to guide his actions which leads to more trouble for the team, and it is this to which Yamtao objects to. For with Taichi's reluctance to be safe, comes great danger for the team, and more importantly to Yamato, Takeru.

Ishida Yamato
Yamato is the loner of the show. We see very quickly that he is not going to fit so well ino the little group. And as time goes on we are led to belive that Yamato has every intention of never becoming part of the Digidestined, especially when he and Taichi choose to fight. But when Yamato finally has help form his faithful Digimon in realising that he is a smuch a part as the digidestiend as the rest, he joins th egroup yet agaian and Yamato seems to change in himself. Yamato changes the most over the course of the show and this is more apparent during the second season, when Yamato is more open and friendly with everybody.

Yamato x Taichi Rivalry
Yamarto and Taichi were never going to be friends form the start. That was obviuos from the first moment they set eyes on each other. And after only a short while on the island they were having their first fight. As time passed on the journey, the more frequent their fights become. When they are seperated by Devimon, Taichi and Yamato are forced to share the Island Journey back. The strain between the two is strong, and their fight proves that they are not capable of working well together. Their worst moement comes when Yamato is manopulated by Cherrimon into beleiving that the only way forward is to beat his 'rival' Taichi, in a fight. Though at first reluctant, Yamato is soon travelling back to the Digidestined, in order to fulfill what he belives to be his destiny.
