| (7) Road Dogg This Dogg can have an effective bark if you don't keep it on its leash. The leash here is his superstar ability. With the best handsize in the game( save for HHH) , he will most likely get those reversals to prevent you from getting any Fortitude. As in the same case as Chyna, try to put down your less damaging cards first to test for reversals. Then go on and Whoop his Candy A%$. The trick against Road Dogg is to stay ahead in Fortitude. Against Heel Doggs, make sure he doesn't get to that 10F mark. Against Face Doggs, don't let him TTT you. Try and keep his hand as minimal as possible. Watch out for that damaging personal reversal of his. It's deadly. You don't want to end a game losing to THAT reversal do you? Billy Gunn Billy Gunn plays differently from most of the other characters in the game. His ability would allow him to get the first maneuver he sees in his arsenal at the expense of showing his hand to his opponent. Use this to your advantage. Try and memorise the cards he is holding on to, especially reversals. B.A can play with minimal yellow and make up for it with tons of blueblue. Therefore to counter him, it's best to have a few J.R styles and JBIs to aid you in slowing him down. Another huge disadvantage of Billy's ability is that he can get stuck with a high F maneuver he can't play. That's when you have to plan carefully on whether to make him discard any card as that high F maneuver would probably be the first one out of the door so his ability is maximised. You have to remember that most players build their decks according to their superstars' ability. Billy Gunn is not an exception. (9) Mankind Have a Nice Day! is most probably the card that stands out in most people's minds whenever they play Mankind. The 0-5F stretch for Mankind is probably the most important level to attain. That is where he would be able to play Have a Nice Day! Though Ego Boost may be a temporary answer to this card, in the long term, Mankind is gonna hit you----hard. Try to prevent him from reaching 5F and you should be safe. The other card to prevent a complete wipeout of your dream hand is of course, Commisioner Rules. That is probably the only solid answer to that dreaded reversal. Rock can retrieve, but how much can he get back? As the game drags on, Mankind's ability is further optimised and he can pack a few surprises along the way. Jericho may be a good bet to bring his handsize down but even Y2J would sometimes find it hard to defeat Mankind. The best way to break mankind down is early disruption and demolition of him, before he gets too dangerous. Next Page |
