Vintage Macintosh

Apple may have lost the battle of balance sheets, but from a creativity and innovation standpoint, the company has no equal.  From the original Mac 128K to the Mac G4, Apple has pushed the envelope of creativity and design. Apple’s forward thinking creations have given its machines much longer life spans than ordinary PCs. Some of the earliest Macs are still in use today -- the ones that are not have become highly sought after in the vintage computer collector’s market. Here is a peek at my collection.

In addition to Macs, I also enjoy toying around with the Macintosh’s older brother, the Apple II.  Although I never owned an Apple II while I was growing up, it was the first computer I ever used, so it will always be a special machine for me.  In recent years, i’ve managed to pick up a few Apple II’s here and there, so I will always have access to the machine that started it all. While I very much enjoy tinkering around with the actual machines, I also enjoy running Apple II programs using emulators like Bernie ][ the Rescue for the Mac and Sweet16 for the Be Operating System.
