Two new items have been added to our FREE software collection. The first is a WINDOWS version of our Marketing Mix Simulation Model. The mechanics are the same as for the DOS version, so the same description applies
( see * MktSIM(c) Marketing Simulation Model ).
The second item is a brand new implementaion of TRIAL MAPPING (i.e. Trial/Repeat New product Simulation), also for WINDOWS ( see * TrialMAP(c) Trial/Repeat New Product Simulation Model ).

COMING SOMETIME REAL SOON NOW.
We'll try to include some very succinct APL (or maybe J since it's all in ASCII) code to illustrate our math/statistics homilies (not in all cases, but in most cases this is possible). We'll also let you know where you can get a shareware and/or FREE interpreter to run this code. Hang in there, this will happen eventually.
THE ULTIMATE RELOCATION As time has gone by, we've moved from Chicago to Westchester, a Chicago suburb (2001), and finally we've moved to rusticate in Wisconsin (10-17-05). Our new abode is located at:

WINDOWS VERSION OF ARGUS PERCEPTUAL MAPPER
We've finally developed a DEMO WIN version of a Point and Vector Perceptual Mapper. It's functionally roughly the same as the DOS version.
The problem with all our DOS and DOS+WIN programs is that while they always ran, Windows has changed. Since WIN 98, Windows no longer sits 'on top of DOS'. Anything smacking of DOS is now handled by DOS emulators under various versions of Windows. These emulations are OK, but by no means perfect. This is especially true for machines with DUAL PROCESSORS. As a result, what used to run just fine under older systems may now have problems.
Since PERCEPTUAL MAPPING has always been our most popular download, we've decided to make it into a pure WIN application (while it's PURE WIN, it's 16 bit WIN rather than 32 or 64 bit). The advantage of 16 bit is that the whole system has a very small footprint (402 kb in ZIP form and about 500 kb when expanded. The EXE program is 121 kb... the rest is docs and sample files).
WINDOWS VERSION OF SPRING STAT SYSTEM
We've also made available as a DEMO, a WIN/DOS hybrid version of Turbo SpringStat(c), our statistical analysis system. It's functionally similar to the DOS version.

PORTAL TO ARRAY PROCESSING RESOURCES
For those of you who would like to experiment with some of the modeling and statistical concepts we refer to in this site, we've got a few links to information and software resources that will allow you to do this. See the reference and link to this page in the COMMENTS section below.
There are many ways to organize comments, thoughts, opinions etc. What
we've decided to do is to use an equation or model as the starting
point for various categories of comments.
For instance, the first catalyst for commentary involves the formula
for the amount of information in a message. Other formulas follow.
All of this is a work in progress. Look at the date in an area for
an indication of when the topic was LAST opened. The most recent addition
or additions will have a NEW graphic next to it.
O INFORMATION PLEASE 07-28-97
We also welcome your comments regarding any of these topics. Just
fill out the comment field in our VISITOR FEEDBACK
page.
