Monthly general membership meetings provide members with leadership development in a variety of ways. These meetings are organized by the officers and held in Lancer Hall (the school meeting room). For each of the seven periods, a period representative was chosen to assist the officers in conducting the meeting and to distribute materials when needed. The period representatives are invited and encouraged to attend the monthly officer meetings, which are held on the first Thursday of each month. Officers planned ice breakers for members for the start of these meetings. Some ice breakers included: Do You Love Your Neighbor, Confidence Building Activity, and Team Building. Guest speakers are invited to monthly meetings or videos are shown on FBLA affiliate projects like Ronald McDonald House, Presidential Classroom, and the FBLA promotional video. Some of the most popular meetings were in February when FBLA committee leaders showed old and new members how to run and take part in successful committees. Advertising, brainstorming, evaluation, and goals were the main focuses of the meeting. Often, guest speakers come to attend the meetings and give inspirational speeches to FBLA members.
