Formerly called Balloons & More, the recently renamed Lance-A-Lot started its third year of operation on September 28, 1999. The store sells mylar and helium balloons to all attendants of Lee High School. Balloons can be picked up before school or during lunch shifts on the date requested. This project required substantial outlay of capital for inventory of helium and supplies, and we are experiencing regular sales. Students voluneteer to work, and assist the managers of the store in preparing a business plan, advertising, displaying merchandise, maintaining inventory, filling orders, selling the balloons and tracking profit. Several members volunteered to work one day a week in FBLA's Lance-A-Lot Store during their lunch period. This involves making sure that balloon orders are filled, providing customer service, recording transactions, and being responsible for the cash. [ top of page ] [Back to Program of Work ]
