Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegran, and Serbian are essentially the same language.  By "essentially," I mean: "in reality; actually; without a doubt." There is simply no doubt that they are the same language. They are four very close dialects, with the differences amongst them being perhaps no greater than the differences between the most distant dialects of English.  The fact is, that, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegran, and Serbian individuals, using their own 'languages', have little or no difficulty communicating with each other.  When willing, they can sit at dinner and have easy conversations with each other -- the degree of an individual's incomprehension depending as much upon his social or political attitudes as upon his actual ability to understand dialect differences.  If there are great differences amongst the Bosnians, Serbians, Croatians, and Montenegrans, those differences are not linguistic.

















 

New note:
      Another way to get a browser to 'correctly' display pages that are
      encoded with the Windows-1257 encoding is to set the browser to the 
      Western encoding instead of the Windows-1257 encoding, and then to 
      set default fonts which have names like TimesLT or BalticSerif
      -- that is, with names that end in "LT" or begin with "Baltic".

      In addition, on Netscape, if your "default encoding" is the
      "Western" encoding, you can switch manually to the "User Defined"
      encoding and then set a nnnnLT or Balticnnnn font as your default font.
      That should work just as above.
