Spring break in
LONDON

Finally got to visit London this year during my one week Spring break. Again, it was kind of a last minute decision and planning.
But it worked out real well, anyway! Stayed with Isabelle and her sister in her really cozy apartment, really appreciate their hospitality. The 1st few days I spent doing touristy stuff like visiting all the places of interest. That was ok, the only thing I really loved was the Houses of Parliament, with Big Ben. Followed Issy to her school (LSE) almost every morning. It was a drastic change from life in Penn State, where people sometimes turn up to class in pyjamas and look like they just got out of bed. I've never felt so out of place before! The next few days got more fun as I managed to catch up with a few old friends for good meals in Chinatown.
Guess the onlybad thing about the whole trip was my finances (or rather, lack of). London's bloody expensive!!!!!
The last few days, most of my money was spent on the night life there. Not a fan of going out to drink and club, but I have to admit that somehow, it was fun over there. On the last day, just as I was running out of cash, Issy brought me to the Portabello Market which was like a flea market with lots of nice, cheap stuff. Spent the whole afternoon there.

Isabelle and I at the Towers of London. Both of us felt silly wearing hats, but our ears were freezing! It was a looong afternoon spent climbing the tiny steps of the ancient towers ....

Friends in London ....

Jiamin, one of my closest friends in Pri Sch. Hadn't gone out with her in about 7 years! It was a really nice feeling being able to meet up after so long and yet have so much to talk about.Spent a wonderful afternoon and evening with her just talking about old times and catching up on present news.

Me and my pretty "cousin", Marilyn. :) My fellow chocoholic and pigging out partner! Amazing how close we got even though we had only been in the same school for about 3 months! So glad we managed to meet up in London, the food (AND dessert) was really goooood. :-9

Isabelle, Xianli (Pri 4 best fren!!) and me in LSE. Not surprisingly, Xianli's still as crazy as ever. :)

Made a new fren in London. Junming, ex-collegemate. Had lots to talk about over dinner in some yummy Indian restaurant, and then a really nice walk around the city and by the River Thames to help digest the heavy meal. Was really nice company, really glad we got to know each other. (by the way, thanks for the pic you helped me take that made this background!)

Oh well ... lots more photos and memories from that trip, but geocities won't give me that much space.

THANKS ISABELLE, never would've been able to make it there if not for you! :)
