Due to dismal performance in the last two years, this site is under re-evaluation/re-construction.

Looks like I was daring when I should have been conservative and recently conservative when I should have let loose. With the huge budget deficit for years to come due to the Iraq war and tax cuts with incresed spending I expect foreign investments in the US to decrease and even US mutual funds and pension funds to pull back. Therefore investments abroad may be more promising than here, althought they'll be riskier.

Having had my money "stolen" from me by corrupt accounting at WCOM and false stock boosting like that of Merrill Lynch, I now feel that I'm betting against a rigged system. Like Las Vegas, casual betting when you don't have all the cards, is a losing proposition. CEO's and corporate directors are on the take as are investment firms and accounting firms. I'm not convinced that I can fight those odds. But the show must go on.

My current portfolio is split between technology and generic pharmaceuticals. I'm optimistic about generic pharmiceuticals on the near and long term but I expect technology stocks to take on a cyclical character and be good for the long tem but not the short term. As usual small caps in emerginging technologies will do better but have higher risk. I do not consider computers emerging technology any more.Stocks that have performed well that i still like include: BRL, LH, and WAG. I feel safer with indices. I expect the DJI, S&P 500, and NASDAQ to all go up around 5% this year. Good Luck.
