The Shirt and Tie Page

This section is devoted to those men who wear ties with their shirts either because they are required to do so for their occupation or for the reason of insistence.  I, personally, do not like to wear neckties and when I see a man with one on, I imagine what he must look like without it. If I have to don a tie, I go for the bowtie.   If this is not acceptable for the occasion, I cheat and use clip-on as I don't even know how to properly knot a tie - yeah, really! :-)    How come women can get away with not wearing neckties and having open shirts in the work place and men cannot?
