* Regionals *
Regionals is the first stage of competition. This was
the first time we'd performed in front of judges. The place of our competition
was Howell High School. That day we were judged on our Central Challenge
and Instant Challenge. Instant Challenge is where we go into a room and
they give us a problem to solve with only a few minutes to plan and perfect
it. After that we could finally relax until the awards ceremony.
Here we are at Howell High, ready to compete!
Here Gretel is being protected by her older sister, Anne,
from the mean guard and his dog. Later the dog digs the way to freedom.

After the performance we finally got be a little silly
and let off some steam:)
We waited not-so-patiently until our problem was called at the awards ceremony. Then we heard it, "First Place.... Southfield Christian Middle School!" We had placed first and were going to states.
