Adding IR L.E.D. S
The IR l.e.d.s can be mounted on a different board, but all you need to do, is to hook the positive lead to the second from bottom socket of the oscillator, and the negative lead to the bottom socket of the oscillator. Then mount another l.e.d.'s positive lead to the fourth from bottom socket, and the negative lead to the third from bottom socket.
Adding the ICs
Add the ICs into the 14-pin DIP IC sockets of the oscillator board. Note the polarity. Now to test the oscillator, get an l.e.d. that emits visible light, and put the longer end into the second from bottom socket on the oscillator. Then stick the shorter lead of the l.e.d. to the very bottom socket. Then add -5V to the right pin on the bottom header, and +5V to the second from right pin on the header(right next to -5V). This should light the l.e.d.. If it doesn't the board doesn't work. Quickly remove power, remove the ICs and check your wiring. If it does work, great!
