As some of you know, my nickname has been deemed, "L'il Miss Bo-Peep." Why? In the famous nursey rhyme and in Toy Story, Bo-Peep is a shepherdess who tends after her sheep. As a shepherdess for God, who is my ultimate Shepherd, I bring home the lost sheep unto Him.
"And we know that in all things
God works for the good of those who love him,
Fall 1998 (CCF): A guy, who I barely know, offers to walk me back to the dorm even though he lives the opposite way--another time, cell group leader
does that too! Fall 1998 (UW): Friend finds a Chinese Christian mini-magazine on a table (ie. somebody just threw it there) and picked it up. I tell her I know what it is ("zhong shin" in mandarin) our household gets a copy every month. She reads it out of curiousity. . . Fall 1998 (St. Paul's Caf): Friend reminds me to say grace even though she isn't a Christian (oops, i forgot). Fall 1998 (CCF): Dylan and Amy (NSR crew)--emailing me welcoming me to CCF. Fall 1998 (CCF): Movie night--brought all 3 friends, girl really enjoyed the movie on 'what if Jesus came today instead of 2000 years ago?' (Title: The Judas Project) Fall 1998 (CCF): Bible Study--same girl changed my mind on Bible Study, I wasn't going to go but she said that it sounded interesting . . . she didn't end up going but it WAS interesting! Fall 1998 (Ground Zero): Friend treats me to lunch: asked me to say grace (even though he isn'ta Christian)!
Fall 1998 (CCF): Concert of Prayer--Found out that at least I am not
the only one who has these fears and is constantly discouraged about failing to share my faith when given the opportunity. Fall 1998 (CCF): Friend goes to outreach oriented program; wasn't going to stay for long but God somehow intervened and she stayed for the whole thing. Apparently, she responded by putting up her hand, and checked off the box that said she wants to talk to a counsellor and go to IBS (Investigative Bible Study). Same friend that I keep talking about. An aging prevention technique! =Þ Fall 1998 (V1 caf): 3 guys come up to me and ask if I am Christian out-of-the-blue, got a chance to bring 2 to church and CCF as they are also Christians--my! never knew what a cross (necklace) can do! Fall 1998 (CCF): Same girl enjoyed her experience at a place where young offenders serve sentence--wants to come the next time CCF does another one! Fall 1998 (UW): I was talking to God and kinda asked Him that I wanted a B- at least on my two science courses. And the next thing I know, I get it right on the dot! Any lower, it would have been a C+ and any higher, well it would have been a B- too but two of the same B-s? Kinda tells me that God listens! Fall/Winter 1998-99 (V1): There's this picked creeper plant (like ivy) that is still green and it grows a new leaf every few days! It just sits in a pop bottle with water in it. Kinda neat as the plants outside have all been "killed" by the cold. Winter 1999 (BAC): Praise God! A Japanese brother in Christ came to know the Lord as Saviour through correspondence with BAC members over the internet and just last week (March 26, 99) God provided a flight out
from Japan to BC for him to get baptised with our church . . . I never
cease to be amazed by God--nothing is impossible with Him! Winter 1999 (CCF): The friend that I keep talking about came out to the first Investigative Bible Study in the winter term! Winter 1999 (ICQ): A blessing? Hmm, that's questionable. But, God has presented me opportunities to share my faith and what it means to be a Christian to some really good friends I've gotten to know a l'il better via ICQ. Fall 1999 (BAC): Praise God! He has heard my struggles with being "forced" to attend a church I do not "belong" at and beginning January, my family is going back to my home church! Summer 1999 (FOTF): I was having a hard time finding
a job in my home province because everyone had a head start while I was
still stuck in another province, but God graciously provided me with 2
jobs! The first one I just flipped open a telephone book and faxed
in a resume. Next thing I knew, I landed at a job with Focus on the
Family (and it was not until later that I found out it wasn't easy to get in)! Summer 1999 (BAC): Amazing! At least 6 people got baptised in the river--on the spur of the moment too! What even made it more special to watch was that it reminded me of baptisms in Jesus' time. Fall 1999 (CCF): A group of us were praying at an InterSesssion Praise and Prayer night for CCF's Bible Study that week. In the past, there weren't very many people that made it out, but that week, we had an average of 10 people per Bible Study leader! Every week after that, I've noticed and been encouraged that there have been a steady number in attendance--so many new faces (including frosh) and their commitment in serving God! =) Fall 1999 (UW): Occasionally, I would have dreams about this friend of mine that abruptly got up and decided to start his life afresh again. It's at those times that I am reminded to pray for him, and to pray that he'll keep in contact with at least one person from his old church--he ends up contacting another friend of mine and so I know how he's doing through her. Fall 1999 (UW): All the supplies provided at the beginning of the term in the chem lab must be there at the end. For some reason, one beaker was missing and we searched everywhere. I prayed my hardest (really expensive to replace!) and all of a sudden one showed up on our counter! Fall 1999 (UW): Friend left his pictures in the SLC for 4 hours (by accident). In normal circumstances, janitor would throw it out or someone else would take it, but when we got back, it was amazingly sitting in the corner in a neat pile, and the janitor was also surprised that it was still there! Summer 2000 (BC): After spending time with so many children at camp or with my cousins, it finally dawns on me why God created children: to spend less time being self-centered and selfish, and to learn about yourself in the process. :) Fall 2000 (ICQ): Praise God! A friend of mine whom I haven't heard from in 3-4 years decided to find me on ICQ and after those years of praying, and to find out that my friend is okay, I know God really DOES answer prayers! Fall 2000 (KWCAC): God truly blessed me with a Sunday School class to teach me that teaching Sunday School can be FUN! :) With this group, I can say that I would not hesitate to teach them again, but if one was to ask me that same question in BAC, that's a different story . . .
Fall 2000 (ICQ): A previous classmate from my highschool tells me on ICQ that he knew that I was a Christian because in highschool he always saw me wearing a cross necklace. I always think back to one of Michael W. Smith's song in which he challenges, 'What's your line? Tell me why do you wear your cross of gold?'
Fall 2000 (UW): Strange how working in the computer lab at funny hours in the morning causes such a mental workout and getting to know new friends. Apologetics in action. Atheist (a stranger) hears us discussing about Christianity, and proceeds to prove us wrong. He didn't but in the process, friend and I were able to reason through our faith to one of his other friends.
who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (NIV)

At his girlfriend's: I said grace for them again after they asked me!
