Peter Grancer Looney, born 1734 in
Philadelphia, Pa.. was the son of Robert Looney and Elizabeth Llewellyn.
He was married October 11, 1758 in Augusta Co., Va. (now Rockbridge)
to Margaret Lauderdale, daughter of James Maitland Lauderdale. Peter
Grancer Looney died March 13, 1760 in Augusta/Botetourt, Va. Their
son Peter Grancer Luna, born October 1, 1759 in Augusta Co., Va. (now Rockbridge)
to Mary Pittman.

Looney, was born about 1692 in Ballagilley, Isle of Mann, England/Ireland.
m About 1715 he married in Botetourt Co., Va. to Elizabeth Llewellyn.
Elizabeth Llewellyn was born about 1696 in Sheading, Kifk Lonan, Isle of
Mann, Ireland. She died about 1770 in Augusta/Botetourt. Co., Va.
Robert Looney died September 14, 1769 in Botetourt Co., Va. They
were the parents of the following: Thomas Looney born 1718, Robert
Looney born 1721, Daniel Looney born 1723, Adam Looney born 1725, Samuel
Looney born 1727, Louisa Looney born 1728, Absalom Looney born 1729, Lucy
Jane Looney born 1730, John Sr. Looney born 1732, Peter Grancer Looney
born 1734.
Peter Grancer Luna, son of Peter Grancer
Looney and Margaret Lauderdale, born October 1, 1759 in Augusta Co., Va.
(now Rockbridge). He was married about 1780 to Mary Pittman. Mary
Pittman born about 1765 in Sullivan Co., N.C, now part of Tennessee, died
about 1810 and is buried in Old Luna Cemetery, Talley Station, Marshall
Co., Tennessee. Peter Grancer Luna died February 16, 1851 and is
buried in Old Luna Cemetery, Talley Station, Marshall Co., Tennessee.
They were the parents of the following: Mary Polly Luna, Elisha Luna
born about 1784, James Luna born January 22, 1785, Peggy Luna born about
1787, Peter Grancer Luna III born about 1788, Jenny Amy (Jane) Luna born
about 1792, John C. "Old" Jack Luna born about 1793, Nancy Luna born
about 1795.
Peter Luna, born about 1788, possibly
south of Gallatin, Tennessee. He married November 7, 1804 in Sumner
County, Tennessee to Mary Ann (Polly) Bonds. He died before 1860
and Mary died July 10, 1856 and is buried in New Hope Cemetery, Fishing
Ford Road, Marshall Co., Tn. They were the parents of the following:
Robert M. Luna (Bob) born about 1805, Macager V. Luna (Cage) born about
1806, James G. Luna (Jim) born June 6, 1807, Matison R. Luna born February
14, 1810, Jackson Luna born November, 1812, Wright Luna born about 1815,
Mary Luna born about 1817, Sarah Luna born about 1820, Malina Luna born
about 1822, John B. Luna (Bud) born about 1825, Martha S. Luna born about
1827, Peter Luna (Whistling Pete) born about 1828.
Sarah Luna, daughter of Peter Luna
and Mary Ann (Polly) Bonds, was first married to Lewis D. McKinney
and had one son, John C. McKinney. After McKinney's death she married
Silas Allen Rhodes born about 1824. They were married December 18,
1848. Silas Allen Rhodes died in December, 1873. They were
the parents of the following: Sarah Loutitia born October 1, 1849,
she was first married on June 16, 1868 to Charles Finley. After Finley's
death she married Edwin Allen Meadows on December 21, 1871, Asa Wesley
Rhodes born July 9, 1851, Mary C. Rhodes born about 1856, Thomas Allen
Rhodes born about 1859.
