A friend and genealogist passed recently. Susie, a close friend and genealogybuddy of Carol Sandoval passed away recently. Susie was always willing
to help anyone when she could, which is how I met her. As a volunteer for Clark County
Susie typed many books. Susie also was involved in many cemetery readings.
Carol and I will both miss Susie, as will many others.
56, of Springfield, Ohio passed away at 10:03 A.M. Monday, September 29, 2003in Community Hospital. She was born February 8, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter
of Donald E. and Mary Jane (Serviss) Williams. Mrs. Fike was a former member
of the Clark County Genealogical Society.
Survivors include one brother Kenneth Williams, one sister Alma V. Miller,
all of Springfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Russell Fike,
her parents, and two brothers, Donald R. and Roger W. Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the Jones-Kenney-Zechman
Funeral Home with pastor Rick Clos officiating.
Friends may call for one hour prior to the services.
Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery. Springfield News-Sun Wednesday, October 1, 2003, page 3C
