“ They will be found in the appendices brief genealogies of other Shinkles,
possibly descended from the Heinrich and Philip who came to America in the same
vessel with Philipp Carl, and who may therefore be presumed to have been his
brothers”.

“ Philip Shinkle A2 , came from Germany and settled in Germantown
Pennsylvania he had two brothers and a sister in America; the sister married
a STARR of Germantown but nothing further is known of the brothers”.
(legend has she was taken by Indians and never heard from again)

“Shinkle was one of three brothers who came from Germany to America
he settled in Coventry Twp Chester Co Pennsylvania one and one half miles
from Unionville. He was twice married, and the homestead remained
in the family for several generations.”
In actuality Heinrich Shinkle and Phillip Shinkle were brothers,
and Philipp Carl Shinkle was their first cousin.

wife Maria Elisabetha Zimpelmann, as the son of Johann Nicolaus
Schenckel (bapt 1681.
Page 92 lists #69 Philipps Schenckel, also known as Johann Philipps Schenckel
born 1721. His father was already dead.
Page 93 lists Henrich Schenckel born 1718, son of Philipp Schenckel (died
1721), This Philipp was the younger brother of Johan Nicolaus Schenckel, the
father of #50 Philipps Carl Schenckel. It also specifically states that
Philipps Schenckel (#69) is the younger brother of Henrich.
Please note – other sources indicate that Henrich and Philipps also had a
sister Maria Agnes Schenckel.
