In Warwick township, November 1st, Isaac youngest son of Jacob and Magdalena Shingle, age 12 years.
By the sudden death of his youth: we are again admonished that "all flesh is as grass" -- tant trath, they too must die. Youth will not exempt us from the fatal daris of the destroyer. Our young friend, whose body now lays low, beneath the clods of the valley, the same evening in which he was summoned hence, was apparently as well as usual, and was cheerfully engaged in conversation with the family. When the hour arrived for him to retire to rest, he requested one of the family to accompany him. --
On reaching his chamber, he requested water of his attendant, adding that he was sick. The water was given him, he announced the alarming truth --" I am going to die", and in less than ten minutes, his sole had winged its flight to the spirit world.
We sympathize with the heart sicken family; but there is abundant consolation in the thought that their Isaac has gone to swell in the population of Heaven, and that he will shine around the Eternal Throne forever. May they bow submissively to the will of God; -- the language of their hearts being " The Lord gave, the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord". S W R
