After the concert:
"That was incredible," I told Howie. He smiled at me.
"Somehow I knew you'd love it. Hey, did you finally get your breathing back to normal?" he asked.
"Yes, I did. And I'm so glad! I have no idea what was wrong. It was really scary," I admitted.
"I can imagine!" Howie laughed. "Wanna come with me to try and find Johnny?"
"I'd love to!" I grinned. "Ooo, can I meet Guido first??"
Laughing, Howie replied, "Of course you can. Right this way, madam!" I giggled and followed him to a room full of people.
"Hey D who's the chick?" someone asked.
"Everyone, This is Jessica. Jess, this is everyone." he introduced.
"That helps," I laughed. Howie just winked at me before dragging me over to an empty couch. Why does Howie have to be such a cutie/ sweetie??? It's too easy to love him.
"So, Jess, did ya come to the concert?" Tommy asked.
"You know Tommy," Mindi started, "That's a kinda stupid quesiton."
"Actually, it's not in my case," I said softly. Everyone except Denise looked at me confusedly. "I actually didn't have tickets to this concert. I was really really close to getting them, but my friend forgot to ask her cousin for them. And this was supposed to be my birthday gift. But anyway, I was kidna upset about it, and there's a reaaaly long, involved, story behind why. So I decided to go out for a walk and ended up here. I sat down. Suddenly, I started gagging and passed out."
"Yea, and then I went out for some fresh air when I saw her sprawled on the street." Denise continued. "So I brought her in here. Apparently, she was having troubles breathing, because when she woke up she still couldn't breathe properly."
"And couldn't until the show was over," Howie finished.
"Wow, that's... interesting,"
"Yea," I laughed. "But now I'm here, and I'm fine." I smiled thankfully at Denise and Howie.
"Our pleasure," Denise smiled. We sat around small talking until Tommy suddenly said something.
"What kidna stuff do you do Jess?" he asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Like do you sing, or write, or dance, or something?" he asked.
"All of those, why?" I asked.
"You just look like the type... I Dunno..." he said.
"Ok.." I laughed.
"You said you sing?" Mindi asked.
"Yea..." I replied, still confused.
"Sing for us!" she laughed.
"After what happened earlier you really want me to sing?" I asked.
"IF you don't mind," Howie pouted.
I melted at his adorable face. "Ok...but I have a horrible voice..."
"I'm sure you don't!" Denise laughed.
"Whatever," I said, then went into my rendition of "Crash and Burn".
"Wow," someone said as they walked in. I looked up in surprise in the middle of holding one of the lower notes. "Damn girl, whoever you are you've got talent! That's awfully low for a female!" I blushed.
"Thanks," I said shyly.
"Aww, don't be shy," he laughed softly. He walked over to sit next to me on the couch. "Hi, I'm AJ. Nice to meet you."
"Jess," I smiled. "Aren't you Johnny No Name tonight?" I whispered, laughing.
"Oh yea," he lauhged. "Sing more!" he smirked.
Rolling my eyes, I replied, "I would if i could but I can't."
"Sure you can," Howie pushed.
"No I cna't. I don't kno anymore songs," I said.
"Oh sure ya do," Tommy laugh.
"Do it for Guido!" Howie laughed. I started laughing really hard.
"Thanks for making my throat hurt," I pouted at Howie.
"I've got an idea," Mindi said. "Come with me Jess." I reluctantly followed her. Together we walked into her dressing room. "Ok here's the plan...."
