Chapter 4- The
Problem; The Solution
*Brian*
I gently
pulled away and smiled at her. God, do I love her............
"So,
now what?" she asked, laughing. I shrugged.
"I
dunno." I replied, trying to think of something to say
"Oh.
Well..."she smiled. All of a sudden, my cell phone rang.
"Hello?"
I asked skeptically, hoping it wasn't another fan. They seemed
to have gotten ahold of my cell phone number lately, I have no
clue how.
"Brian?"
a female voice asked.
"Yea?"
I replied, trying to place the familiar voice.
"This
is Denise." AJ's mom replied.
"Oh,
hi. What's up?"
"You
busy?" she asked quickly.
"Kinda."
I replied softly.
"Well,
you've got an interview soon." She said reluctantly.
"Really?
Ok that's fine...Wait! What do I do with Jess?" I muttered.
"Who?"
I smiled at Jess.
"Someone
that I met out in the park today while I was walking," I
replied.
"ON
THE STREET?"
"Yup.
She was gonna kill herself." I explained sadly.
"Oh,
sorry...I thought...I dont know what I thought. But can you tell
the rest of the guys?" she said softly.
"I
guess."
"Thanks."
"No
prob, Denise." I said and hung up the phone. Jess looked
slightly mad then blushed whem she realized who Denise was. "We've
got an interview soon, Jess." I sighed. She looked scared.
"Please...don't.....make
me...go home...please!" she whimpered, starting to cry. What's
wrong that she can't go home? Could this possibly have anything
to do with why she was going to kill herself?
Hugging
her, I replied. "Ssh, Of course I won't. Don't cry, please!"
Jess sighed and nodded. I slowly stood up and pulled her into
the living room again. Howie looked up and saw Jess's tear stained
face.
.:Howie:.
What
the hell did he do to her?!?!? "What's wrong Jessica?"
I asked softly. She shook her head. Brian whispered something
to her and she nodded.
"I
told her that we have an interview soon, and she begged me not
to take her home. So that's why she's crying. I would never hurt
her." He smiled, squeezing her shoulders gently. Oh ok, but
still. Why wouldn't she go home?
"Ok.
What time?" I asked.
Looking
at AJ, he replied, "I dunno, Denise didn't say." AJ
took that as a hint and got up to call his mom. Brian led Jessica
over to a chair to sit down. He sat, and she sat in his lap.
Smiling
gratefully at Brian, she said, "Thank you so much for talking
to me and listening to me." He smiled at her, then gently
kissed her.
"No
problem," he replied. She snuggled up against him. God those
two look like they're married, not like they just met a few hours
ago!
"You
two look like a married couple!" Nick pointed out, laughing.
I shook my head. Jess blushed, and Brian looked at her. I don't
want to know what he's thinking right now...
*Brian*
I thought
again about what he said and realized how much i actually liked
that idea, of us being together forever. She looked back at me
with the same look of love and hope written on her face. I smiled
gently at her. "Someday." I mouthed. Her face lit up,
and she leaned back against me again. I gently kissed the top
of her head. Howie and Kev shook thier heads at us. I decided
to ignore them. After all, they don't know what it's like to be
in love! Well, maybe Kev does. But that's not the point. AJ walked
back in, and saw us on the chair. He laughed.
"Shut
up. But what time?" I asked him.
"Ten
minutes we have to leave." We all nodded. Jess looked back
at me.
"Don't
worry, baby. I'm not taking you home." I whispered.
"Thank
you do much!!" she whispered back. Why doesn't she want to
go home...it's almost as if..I dunno.....she's scared of something.....but
whaat? I won't ask her though. She'll tell me in her own time.
I hope. "Can I just stay here?" she asked. I looked
at the guys. Please say yes..please say yes..please..... Kevin
smiled.
"Of
course you can Jessica. But why?" he asked. If she starts
to cry again....*sigh*
Sighing,
Jess replied, "I hate it at my real house. And I'm not ready
to tell you why." Gently, I hugged her even closer to me.
She smiled happily at me. Just the simple fact that I could make
her smile made me feel like Leo DiCaprio on teh bow of the Titanic-
I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD!
"OK.
I'm sorry that I asked." Kev said. She smiled.
"It's
ok. I'm surprised you didn't ask earlier." Howie looked at
us sadly.
"We
have to go now if we want to make it on time." he said. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sighed. Jess slowly got uup off of me, and helped me up.
"Thanks."
I whispered to her. She smiled and shook her head. We both laughed.
~Jessica~
"Should
I just stay here?" I asked. Kev shrugged.
"I
guess." Oh shit!! my eyes widened. My stupid perscription!!!!!
"Shit."
I whispered. Brian looked at me strangely.
"What's
wrong?" I laughed.
"Just
completely forgot about my perscription that I was supposed to
pick up." He shook his head.
"Blondes..."
Howie muttered.
Glaring
at him, I replied, "You better be glad that you guys have
to go, or I'd get you for that!!!!" Everyone but Howie laughed.
"What's so funny?" I asked.
"Like
I said, blondes." Howie repeated.
"You................................"
I growled.
"You
got yourself a fiesty one B-rok," AJ laughed. I glared at
him. "It's true, ain't it?" I stuck my tounge out at
him.
"Oh,
mature!" Kev laughed.
"I'm
only 14, I don't need to be mature. HA!!!" I laughed. Kev
shook his head.
"Leave
her alone," Brian smiled. Isn't that the sweetest thing?
"Thanks.
SOMEone appreciates me!" I laughed, hugging him, and sticking
my tounge out at everyone else.
"No
prob," Brian replied.
"OK,
now we REALLY have to go!" Howie practically screamed. I
looked at him and laughed. "Don't you laugh at me, missy!"
He said. I raised my eyebrow.
"Why
not? You just make me laugh everytime I look at you," I joked.
He ran after me. "Haha, I'm faster," I laughed. "Anyway,
I was joking!" He stuck his tounge out at me. "Now who's
immature?" Nick shook his head and laughed at all of us.
"You think this is funny Nick??" I asked him. He nodded.
"Well, then. I'll have to do something about that!"
He looked surprised.
"Um,
I meant that this isn't funny. It's the most serious thing that
I have ever witnessed." He said, trying to keep a solemn
face while he said that. He burst out laughing.
"Let's
just go," AJ suggested.
"That
would be a good idea, since we're already 2 minutes late, and
we still have to drop off Jessica at the pharmacy." Howie
said. Our eyes widened.
"Oops...."
Brian said. We laughed and ran out the door to the limo that ws
waiting for the guys.
"Geez,
a limo!" I laughed.
"Yea,
I'd get used to it," AJ teased, looking from Brian to me.
We both blushed.
