WORK EXPERIENCE
System Administrator – January 2006 to .
ShareInvestor Pte Ltd
ShareInvestor Pte Ltd is a local startup company which provides financial
media services to both investors and listed companies. For investors,
we have a web based or a networked application which allows them to view
and manage their stocks and shares.
Every company has Investor Relations. They must be open to the public about their stocks and how well the company is doing. Most companies do not have the capability to generate the graphs and other IT requirements for this. We provide it for them. We also top it up by hosting their email, websites and we also provide webcasts and podcasts to allow their company presentations to reach their investors.
As a complimentary service to listed companies who sign up with us, we also provide email hosting, web hosting and web design services for them.
I support all the offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
My responsibilities include:

to support its day to day operations. I helped GW International in the
following ways:
One of the customers of GW International was impressed with my work and hired me on a freelance basis to set up a VPN server in his office to enable him to dial into the office and access his files securely from home.
IT Trainer / Consultant (National Service) –

operations are carried out promptly and efficiently. In addition to my
basic role, I also trained National Servicemen and Regular Servicemen
in the usage of specialised IT systems and acted as a consultant for the
Signals department in Windows 2000 Administration.
One of my achievements in the army was to develop a policy for the management and organisation of top secret data.
Research Assistant (Student Internship) –

Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore
My primary role was to conduct research and develop applications in the
area of wireless technologies. My secondary role was to assist in the
setting up of laboratories and offices in the polytechnic for students
and staff to be educated in wireless technologies. We were also given the
additional task of helping to organise external and in-house exhibitions.
Two notable applications which I conducted research and development in were “Wireless Video Streaming System” and “IR Printing over the Internet”.
