Hi,
I’m researching my maternal grandmother’s linage. Her maiden name was Evelyn (Evaline, Eva) Warner born in Omaha, Nebraska around 1890, her father was Edward S. Warner. Edward S. is the person I am most interested in searching for, I do not know his parents name. He recorded that he was born in Michigan around 1843, but some conflicting information has appeared on the 1895 Iowa state census records; it is recorded that he was born in Illinois. Edward died in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1909. He married Mary A.Tallman-McColl around 1888 and I believe that is Evelyn’s mother, my great grandmother. I think I found Edward S. in the 1880 federal census in Omaha, NE. with wife Minnie and daughter Grace. I may have found him in the 1870 federal census in Burr Oak, St. Joseph Michigan with daughter Grace but no wife in the house at the time. I can’t link this Edward S. from 1870 and 1880 to my great grandfather because of finding no records from 1890 other than a directory where he was living in Omaha (no family members mentioned). If these two Edwards are the same then during the decade of 1880 and 1890 he lost Minnie and he married Mary Tallman and Evelyn was born but can find no record to validate this at all. I would appreciate anyone who has any knowledge of Edward S.Warner b. 1843 - 1909.
Thank you,
Bonnie Stumph
