I was born and educated in South Africa, where I completed a BA in English Literature and Psychology and an Honors degree in Psychology. Immigrating to Israel in 1992, I obtained a Master's degree in Linguistics and an English teaching certificate. After a two-year stint as an English teacher, I branched out into technical writing, to become a full-time professional writer. I currently live with my wife and two children in Cambridge, UK. |

In my work as a professional writer, I produce a large amount of material each year. Most of this writing is dry and technical in nature, so for me creative writing is a means of not only involving my imagination, but also my emotions and life-experience in the writing process. I've always been fascinated by modern technology and in my writing explore new ideas about where our society is going to be in the near future. I believe that Science Fiction is a genre that provides a unique opportunity for writers to explore themes of interest to modern society. Through a world of imagination that takes the reader away from his/her current circumstances, we are able to strike deeply at the truths of modern life and address the unique issues that are important to us. My writing is a form of escapism. I write primarily to entertain. Although there is some level of social commentary, it is not related to any political situation or specific country. More |
