|
The GEORGE STONE is a 283 foot wooden freighter that sank on Grubb's Reef on October 13, 1909. This wreck lies tight against rocky Grubb's Reef. It has a triple compound steam engine with a huge propeller. Thick timbers making up ships structure of ribs and stringers may be seen where the cargo deck planking have separated from the hull. These timbers measure nearly 24 inches deep. Encounters with huge Large-mouth and Small-mouth Bass are guaranteed. This is an exciting fun dive for every divers. Depth 37 feet
