SHIPWRECKS
Since mid 1800's, over two hundred and seventy-five ships have been recorded to have sank somewhere in the waters of the Pelee Passage. To date there are fifty known locations of shipwreck sites in the Pelee Passage, just off the shores of Leamington. The majority of wrecks lie in waters with an average depth of approximately 40 feet. As we travel east of Pelee, some of our shipwrecks may be found in depths of 75 feet.
As the diver's PREMIER charter service in the Pelee Passage, Waruwanago Boat Charters is ready to introduce you to our bounty of magnificent shipwrecks.
We have organized our shipwrecks into three tables based on distance from Leamington Municipal Marina.
TABLE I
These shipwrecks are accessible within ten nautical miles from Leamington.
