Appearance: Erin just has this quality about her. It could be an air of mystery...or it could just be the fact that she's a major goth. She's 5'6" and weighs 130 lb. She's got the odd combination of long black hair (natural black) and two blond chunks (that's not) with grey blue eyes. Shows off some of her Celtic/Irish heritage. Especially with very very pale skin. She can usually be found wearing black, black...and more black. She completes the ensemble with a chunky black bracelet on her right wrist, and a black choker with a silver cross. Along with multiple piercings (just ears). Her fae seeming, on the other hand, is scary as s**t. Long jet black hair, skin white as a piece of printer paper, and jet black lips hiding toothless gums. And when you put that with a long black robe, you have the perfect Sluagh. Not pretty, is it? |
Personality: Erin is actually a very social person. She loves being around other people, maybe not speaking as much, but just hearing the latest gossip and such. She can be a total sweetheart at times, but she's often distant or a bit broody. Just don't piss her off too much. She may look petite and sweet, but she can kick ass when she wants to. |
Background: Erin Riley grew up in San Francisco with her mom and dad. They lived a relatively normal life. She had the kind of parents almost every kid dreams of. The ones who liked her friends, who encouraged her in anything she tried, and who taught her to mix drinks by the time she was 16. Not that she drank. That's just illegal. Erin even had a job at Subway that payed pretty well for a 14 or 15 year old, in addition to a group of friends that she felt accepted her for who she was, not what she seemed to be. Life was going swell for little Erin. But then, in the end of her sophomore year of high school, the reason for her distance, and her Chrysalis, struck. Her parents were killed in the 1994 Los Angeles earthquake. They'd driven down to the LA area to visit an aunt and uncle of Erin's. Erin wasn't able to go because of work and classes, which proved lucky for her. In the early morning, just as her parents were driving over the highway out of LA, the earthquake hit. The overpass they were on crumbled, and the debris that fell after their car landed on the main road crushed them. You can see how this would've affected Erin. She took more hours just so she could pay rent and groceries to finish high school and cover the rest of her parents' funeral expenses, and was able to stay around until graduation by the good graces of the landlord, since the pay she got often wasn't enough to support herself and pay rent. A few weeks after her parents' dealth, when it finally sunk in that they were gone, she started seeing things. Things like big smiley butterflies and spiders on top of the school buildings. That weren't there. She mentioned this to her friends once. She finally got the idea that she just didn't fit in when they referred "the looney" to the school shrink. When she had extra time, she found that she could do some pretty interesting stuff on her own. She practiced in the hit-or-miss ideology. After graduation, she was pretty much forced out of her home when the landlord decided he'd had enough of waiting for "the deadbeat chick's" promises that she'd have the rent money, all of it, when she got her next raise, which never happened. She ended up selling almost everything in the apartment except for her clothes and used the money to buy a small Yamaha motorcycle. Being the California city girl that she was, she decided to relocate to the most well-known city in California: Los Angeles. She managed to find a job for a small goth club called Spiderwebs, where she earns just enough to rent a 1 room apartment, buy groceries and a couple packs of cigarettes every few weeks, pay off the insurance on her bike as well as the payments themselves, and go clubbing with the rest. |
