 Tenchi Muyo in Love

The TMiL movies (Tenchi Muyo in Love! and Haruna) are both in the Negishi canon. Although there are some glitches (most notably, a conversation in TMiL where Aeka implies that she is worried about Yousho recognizing her, even though he left Jurai before she was even born), and even though the sorty dynamics are closer to the OAV than they are to Negishi, the storyline conflicts too much to be considered OAV canon. An argument could be made that all three movies sit in their own universe, but there is no strong reason that TMiL1 and 2 cannot be considered Negishi canon. The second movie is a canon all its own, which is explained in Canon: Manatsu No Eve.

The Galaxy Police headquarters vanishes! One word was left..."Kain" The merciless criminal Kain has escaped from sub-space where he had been imprisoned. Kain, who was deprived of his freedom by the Jurai royal family and the Galaxy Police, demolishes the GP headquarters with ease and attacks the Jurai King...His next target is Earth! Tenchi is dissolving...back to 1970 Around the same time, on Earth, Tenchi's house has suddenly disappeared. What's even worse is that Tenchi's body is disappearing too! Something must have happened to Achika, Tenchi's mother, in the past! With Washu's help, the gang must time-travel back to the year 1970 to protect Achika, but will even their combined efforts be enough to withstand the frightening, destructive forces of the deadly Kain?

Tenchi Muyo: Daughter of Darkness

On a hot summer day, a fetching young girl named Mayuka appears to Tenchi, calling him "Daddy!" Jealously and envy follow as Ryoko and Ayeka battle for Tenchi's attention with an apparently new rival. Who could the mother be?! Hiding in the background, Yuzuha, the Demoness of Darkness, is about to get her revenge against Yosho for a grudge held for over 700 years! She begins her plan by using Mayuka to steal Tenchi away to the Dimension of Darkness. So it begins again, Tenchi must fight to save his friends and Mayuka, daughter or not!

Tenchi Muyo in Love 2: Tenchi Forever

Tenchi is placed on the spot (once again) when he is asked by both Ryoko and Ayeka as to which girl he would rather be with. Rather than making a decision, Tenchi's deftly eludes the quarrelsome duo and quickly heads off into the mountains. While enjoying the scenery, Tenchi finds a strange and unusual tree and mysteriously vanishes. Months have passed and Tenchi does not return home. After desperately searching all over Japan for Tenchi, Ayeka and Ryoko finally locate him in Tokyo where he is now several years older! To make matters worse, Tenchi appears to be living in a parallel world with a mysterious girl name Haruna, and has no memories of Ayeka and Ryoko! Somehow, there's a mysterious connection between Haruna and Tenchi's grandfather, Yosho, but how does Tenchi fit into this? It's up to Ayeka and Ryoko to discover what Haruna wants with Tenchi and to rescue him before he disappears forever! But does Tenchi really want to be rescued?
