A German discovered by Darius in 2nd Century A.D., Grayson became second-in-command of his mentor's army. He help raid all the great cities with Darius. He lived for battle, but when Darius beheaded a priest in Paris, Grayson lost his mentor to the goodness of the Quickening. When Darius turned away his army, Grayson could not understand and held an evil grudge against Darius for doing so. In modern day, Grayson began killing off Darius students (mortals and Immortals) alike, in hopes of drawing his mentor and one time commander from his holy sanctuary. Instead, he drew the attention of Duncan MacLeod, who himself had been taken in by Darius at one time and had formed a kindredship with him. When Grayson realized this, he tried to scare Duncan off, but with Darius' life in danger, Duncan refused. The battle was then set. The two warriors met at a sulfur plant outside of Paris. The battle was vigorous and the two warriors worn, battled to the end. At one point, MacLeod was down on his knees and Grayson looked to be the victor. But with his graceful sword skills, Duncan used his last remaining energy and sliced Grayson, bringing him to his knees where he followed through with his sword and killing the mighty and aged warrior, claiming an upset victory and a Quickening.
