N akano was and probably will be one of the strongest Immortals that ever lived. His first death was in 743 B.C. During the 1200 A.D's, Nakano studied Zen Buddhism under Nichiren the monk and became one of the ancient Japanese wise men known as "Yamabushis" who taught their way to only a select few. Nakano chose to share his power with other Immortals, as well as mortals, he felt fit. Juan Sanchez Ramirez was one of his many students. Nakano taught him his metallurgy skills. Nakano was also a great sorcerer and mastered the skill of Illusion. This would be his downfall, as Kane, a former student of his vowed to seek this talent and beheaded his master, but in doing so, sealed him inside the cave for centuries. Nakano's last student was Connor MacLeod. Nakano helped him enrich his spiritual power inside him and made him a much stronger warrior.
