Your own brews
Never cultivate your herbs from the wild unless you are absolutely certain that no pesticides or other harmful chemicals have been used.
Do not take an herbal remedy if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without discussing it with your doctor.
If you are taking a prescription medication for an illness, consult your doctor befor using herbs as they may conteract the effect of the prescription.
Be absolutely certain that you are using the right part of the plant! A mistake could be lethal, or very uncomfortable to say the least!
Always pick the freshest herbs you can get, always wash your herbs befor using.
methods
Infusion
This method is used for the softer parts of the plant, flowers, leaves or stems.

Cut the herb into small pieces

Use 2 Tbsp of herb per cup

Pour freshly boiled water over herbs in cup and soak for 7-10 minutes. Strain and drink
Concoction
This method is used for making tea with the hard, woodier parts of the plant.(seeds, twigs, roots, bark, rhizomes)
Cut plant into small pieces.
Measure 2 Tbsp of fresh herb per cup of tea
Place the herb in saucepan, cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for one hour.
Strain and drink.
