Taylor leaned down and kissed her, cupping the back of her head in his hand and taking a fistful of her soft curls. She opened her mouth to him, letting his tongue find hers. She tasted him, and closed her eyes a little tighter to save his taste in her memory. She pressed her body against his, feeling the hard muscles in his chest through his shirt as she moved her hands over him, reveling in the feel of his body so close to hers. Her hands slid down his ribcage to his waist, stopping at the waistband of his jeans, just above his hips, while his hands were eargerly exploring the curves of her body, as well. His fingers combed through her hair, then settled on her shoulders, moving slowly around to her back and down to her waist, as their kisses became more urgent, demanding. He moved his mouth from her lips to her cheek, placing tiny , wet kisses there and then continuing to her neck. He sucked at her sweet skin, causing her to let her head drop back, and let a low moan escape her lips as her hands slowly slid up his ribcage.
"Day...." he whispered when his lips were close to her ear. He took her earlobe gently between his lips and sucked lightly at it, then let his breath warm her skin there, her sharp intake of breath making his heart race and his blood course loudly through his veins. His body was on fire and his growing erection needed to be adjusted, badly. "Day..." he moaned softly again, as he took another gentle bite and then suck at her neck. Her chest heaved with her labored breathing and she felt her knees going weak. His arms circled her waist then, and he pulled her with him to the couch as he continued to explore her exposed skin, from her earlobe down to her cleavage peeking from the tiny white t-shirt with a scooped neck she was wearing, with his mouth. Another low moan escaped her, as he sat her down and his tongue darted out to taste the skin between her breasts. She leaned back against the arm of the sofa and buried her hands in his silky golden locks
as his tongue made a hot trail over her skin and traced the neckline of her shirt. "Oh god angel...slow down...please.." she sighed softly, wanting so much more, but afraid of where it would lead. He lifted his head and looked into her amber colored eyes, that were dark with desire. He kissed her softly on the lips, and stroked her cheek. "Day...I want you. I can't get you out of my head.." he said, and combed his hand through her curls again.
"I know angel...I want you too.." she sighed heavily. "I really do. But I don't want anything to go wrong, I..."
"Shhh.." he put his fingers to her lips. "It's alright, Day. I can wait. I'll wait as long as you want." he told her. "But I hope it's not too long. I don't much care for cold showers." he smiled.
"I'm so sorry angel...I should have stopped you earlier. But you have the same effect on me. I just don't want to lose you altogether angelface. I'd miss you too much." she said.
"I'm not going anywhere, Day. The only thing I can ever think about is when I will be able to see you again." he told her.
"I think about you, too, baby. All the time. Knowing you're going to be home when I come over to help your mom out, makes me look forward to going to work. Can't say that about Ms. Cook.." she chuckled. "Good thing I only go THERE twice a month.."
He laughed with her. "I guess I'll take that as a compliment."
"Please do." she smiled. "But seriously, angel, I rather go slow than just jump in and ruin things altogether."
"I'll wait, Day. I'd wait forever for you." he said and kissed her.
"Thank you, angel. It won't be long. I promise." she said.
"Day? If you want me to slow down, we better get off this couch and out of this house. I may not be able to control myself otherwise." he grinned.
"Good idea dollface." she grinned back, "where we goin'?"
"Wanna drive, or walk?" he asked.
"Let's walk.." she said and took the hand he offered to help her off the couch. She went to the hall closet and pulled out her coat, smiling when he was thoughtful enough to help her into it. She quickly slipped her shoes back on, pulled her hair out of the neck of her coat and gave it a shake, making Taylor catch his breath. She stuffed her keys in her pocket as he pulled his own coat back on, grabbed her bag off the floor and slung it over her shoulder. He held the door open for her, then made sure to lock it behind them before following her down the step to the sidewalk in front of her place.
"Hang on a sec, Day.." he said and opened his car door, and pulled out a ballcap and pushed it down on his head. He left the sunglasses though, because it was getting dark and he wouldn't need them. He locked his car and slammed the door, then offered her his arm. She linked her hand through and smiled up at him. "Sorry angel. I forget.." she said.
"I know, Day. That's one of the things I like most about you.." he grinned down as they walked up her street and around the corner. They walked and talked, genuinely enjoying each other's company, surprising each other with the many views they shared on a varied number of subjects. He was glad to find that she was an avid reader, like himself and they enjoyed most of the same authors. there were a few differences though, which made for an extremely lively discussion, ending in a promise from both to give the other's favorite a chance. They ended up in front of the coffee house they had been to together and they wound up inside, having a cup of coffee and something to eat, talking endlessly and laughing together. Taylor was completely convinced that this was the woman he would eventually spend the rest of his life with by the end of the evening.
If he could make her get past her fear of what others thought because they had met while she was working
for his mother and that she was 4 and a half years older than him. They walked back to her apartment arm in arm, close together as the air grew colder. He walked her to her door, waiting to make sure she had her keys and could get in.
"This was great, Day...I hate that I have to go home and leave you here.." he said softly, leaning down to kiss her.
"Me too, angel. I promise baby, I won't make you wait too long. I just want everything to be RIGHT." she told him, laying her hand on his cheek.
"As far as I'm concerned it is, Day. Don't feel like you have to say anything now, but I just want you to know," he said, taking off his cap and running his hand through his hair, "that I love you, Day. I think I have for a long time, and just didn't realize it. I don't want to go too far either, not until you're absolutely sure you love me, too. When you can tell me, without a doubt, that's when it'll be right. Good night, Day.
See you in the morning." He leaned down and kissed her, twirling the curl at her forehead and then stroked her cheek, leaving Dayna stunned and shaking. He was down the step and in his car before she could find her voice. "But I do love you, angel.." she said as his car disappeared down the street.
