This is an example of a full multi-track mix performed on Pro-Tools. This sample comes from the multi-track recording of Coldplay at the Commodore Ballroom. They are such a great band that it was a complete pleasure to mix this show. Every song is a gem.
This is also a multi-track mix of a live show, this time of R.L. Burnside track that I performed a surround-sound mix for an upcoming DVD release. Here is a stereo version of a truly great track from that show.
The next spot was created for the Columbia Pictures major motion picture, I Spy, featuring Eddie Murphy, promoting the Rockin' In Vegas sweepstakes. It was a bit of challange to fit all the copy information in 30 seconds, but a little bit of creative engineering did the trick.
This is an example of spot editing. I created this spot with Dan Aykroyd as the vocal talent promoting the W.C. Handy Awards Show. Dan has such a great voice that the spot just naturally shines and is a great example of knowing when NOT to clutter up a spot with unneeded elements.
For the Whoridas second LP, High Times, I created a "clean" or "radio-friendly" album for them using several techniques. Here is a quick sample of the unedited original track followed by the edited. The offensive words were replaced with the instrumental mix, then a preceeding word from a vocal-only mix was dropped in and effected to create a delay effect. This filled in the drop-out which was created by the edit.
Finally here is an example of were the offending words were simply dropped-out. The trick here is to make sure that results don't sound choppy. If you use WAVEFORM they never will!
