The Seneca Lake Trout Derby, held annually, is the foundation on which Geneva's claim to be the "Lake Trout Capital of the World" is based. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman in the U.S. to earn a medical degree, lived here. |

This one is difficult to see. Below the picture is the inscription "Best Whitewater in New York." Hadley is located at the confluence of the Hudson and Great Sacandaga Rivers; the rapids on the latter are a popular destination for rafters. |

In 1879, Arad Copeland built this covered bridge, the only one remaining in Saratoga County, to allow his cattle to get from his barn to his fields across Beecher Creek. A sign on the bridge prohibits more than 10 people to be on the bridge at once; no limit is given for cattle. Edinburg is located in the southern Adirondack Mountains. |

The sign on the left has been replaced by the one on the right. I'm not quite sure of the point of adding the three statistics together. The inscription
at the top of the old sign reads, "The Best Dammed Village in
the Catskills." Hobart sits astride the West Branch of the Delaware River. |
