Paul's place on the Web ...in the year

PICTURES PAGE 4

This page is devoted to various STAR WARS related items I've picked up over the years. As you can see I'm not a dedicated collector of SW stuff (compared to some collections you see on the web!), but hopefully you may find something interesting in this small selection.

The sections I have on this page so far are action figures, roll play toys and printed and promotional items.

Click on a thumbnail and a new browser window will open to load and display the full size image, just close the new window when you've done.

Role play toys

Han Solo Blaster 1978 with ROTJ sticker (known as the DL44 Heavy Blaster), and Imperial Blaster Rifle 1996 (the E11 Blaster Rifle), both by Hasbro.
Lightsabers from the Phantom Menace: Qui Gon Jin and Darth Maul, by Hasbro 1999.
Here is an early lightsaber by Kenner circa about 1978 (I had one of these back then, but sadly dont have it now). It is only loosly based on the lightsabers used in the original movies.

Printed and Promotional items

"Crazy" and "Mad" comic book covers from 1977, 1978 and 1999.

An original Star Wars promotional booklet from 1977, with character/actor profiles, a "Behind the scenes" article, and many stills from the movie. The top two pictures show the front and back covers, the smaller three show part of the centerfold image and the two page article.

"Splinter of the Mind's Eye" 1978. Alan Dean Foster was commissioned by Lucas to write this original follow-up story as a possible sequel. Appartently the brother/sister plot twist hadn't been thought of by 1978, as Luke and Leia get a little "too friendly" in this adventure. This was the very first Star Wars "spin-off" novel.

"Return of the Jedi - Official Comics Version" 1983. A Full colour comic book style novelisation of the movie by Mavel comics.

"Empire Strikes Back - Darth Vader" badge, 1983.
