The goal is to get a V8 in the Fino as cheap as possible. All tuning will be done later as another project. Therefore, it will probably not be fuel injected... yet. It may even be a 305 block, but it will probably be a 350 from ebay. The kit to install a V8 in a Fiero will be from V8 Archie.

I would like an Oil Pressure Gauge. Could there be a T fitting on the engine block so the computer sensor AND the pressure gauge can both exist? Or should I use an electrical gauge? Either way, Autometer has them.

Here's the engine after being cleaned and put back together. I chained the hoist to the wall so the legs could be lifted and the stand would fit under it.

Now that i have a V6 (versus the 4cyl) possibly i wont choose to do the V8, but if i do, i think i will need fuel injection. Good gas MPG with the carburetor will be too difficult to achieve. One fuel injection idea is the "Accel Pro Ram 4 Barrel Port Fuel System SBC 350-420 cid 30 # inj Pro Ram 4V System" $3095.

Another fuel injection idea is the Holley Stealth Ram Multi-Point Fuel Injection System $2290 from Jegs. However, this will not fit under the deck lid, so there might be another choice...
